Side Plot
This post is going to be kind of boring because there is actually no side plot in my book. Believe it or not. The main plot in my book is the ongoing death of one after the other of the characters. There is, a part from the main plot, the review of the characters life where you get to know the characters background. But I don’t count that a side plot.
And then they were none / Enviroment in my book
Hej Theresa! Det är något konstigt med min blogg. Jag la upp denna texten här förra lördagen men den har inte kommit upp. När jag gör nya inlägg så står det att inläggen inte kan visas ... Så jag lägger upp denna texten här istället! Hoppas du ser den!
The environment in my book is well described. That's very good because when the description in a book is very well described with a lot of details it's easier to see with the characters' eyes. It' s like you see what the characters are seeing.
The story is taken place on a small island. There is only a big house, a beach and some rocks surrounded by the sea. Nothing more.
My own thoughts about the island is that it seems to be beautiful, specially at the sunset. Actually I think the "Indian Island" reminds me a lot of the Swedish island of "Hållö", situated in the archipelago of Bohuslän.
Quotes at page 22:
"They cameup over a hill and down a zig-zag track to sticklehaven-a mere cluster of cottages with a fishing boat or two drawn up on the beach. Illuminated by the setting sun, they had their first glimpse of jutting up out of the sea to the south"
" She had pictured it differently, close to shore, crowned with a beautiful white house"
I’ve chosen to read the book “And Then They Were None” by Agatha Christie.
Agatha Christie is one of the most popular authors worldwide and in my opinion she is the queen of mystery/crime books. Agatha is a British author who died 1976, 86 years old.
She has written a lot of classical British novels and books like “Miss Marple” and Hercule Poirot.
And Then They Were None is a exiting mystery crime book which is about eight strangers in different social classes who got invited to an island called the “Indian island” by a man who call him self Mr Owen. Everyone got different kind off invites so they’re not sure why they’re there. Everything doesn’t seem to be normal on the island.
The characters are not very good explained in my book, not this far. In the beginning of the book there was one chapter for each character. I’ve only read two chapters so I don’t know very much about all the characters. What I have read have been the characters thoughts so I don’t know how there are acting with other people.
Mr. Justice Wargrave seems to be a conservative rich old man. I think he’s conservative because he is reading the conservative newspaper” The Times”. It says he’s reading the political news so I think he is very much in to politic. I think he’s rich because he’s going with first-class and smoking cigar. If he would be poor I don’t think he would go with first-class. It’s hard to say that Mr. Justice is old but I guess so because I got that feeling when I read.
Vera Claythorne, I don’t know so much about this young lady. She seems to be a poor student who’s really looking forward for some vacation. She is travelling in third-class and it says “Vera Claythorne, tired by a recent strenuous term at school”.She is also thinking of someone called Hugo, I think that’s maybe an ex boyfriend. “She must not think of Hugo …”
As you see I haven't read so much yet but I'll read alot this week!
